Geoffrey's decision to hold the meeting at his home rather than the stage wasn't entirely based on the fact that two of the five people who needed to meet lived there, but that certainly didn't hurt. Mostly he was thinking that they had a table large enough to seat everyone, even if they had to use a mix of chairs and stools to sit at it, and ready access to food and drink if the meeting went on that long. Hell, it didn't even have to go on that long; Geoffrey set out some bread and juice and coffee before they even started.
"So hopefully everyone's had a chance to read the play," he said, "or at least get a sense of what it's about, if not read through the whole thing. Last time we did this I spent a lot of my time flailing about and trying to recruit anyone who looked like they might stand still long enough to be put to work. This time I feel like we've got a solid team and can do a little bit of planning ahead of time. So I'm interested in hearing everyone's ideas on how we might stage this play, and the challenges we may face with it."
And then he poured himself a cup of coffee.
